Rhynchostylis are also commonly called foxtail orchids because of their long, thin, densely packed inflorescences with sweetly fragrant blooms. The inflorescences appear in autumn and winter. In our, Singaporean climate, it generally flowers about 1-3 times a year depending on climate. Its flowers are highly fragrant and last up to 3 weeks in our climate. It has very powerful Citrus smell. This was most difficult for us to find as it blooms primarily in Jan and Feb.

Singapore Girl femme fragrance. In 1983, there was a rough patch in business, like most company’s experience. During this time, Mr. Dadi Balsara created another scent, known as Singapore Bliss, for a company called SIA and was a huge success when launched in 1988. After a long reign of impactful creations, in the year 2000, the now older Mrs. Christina Balsara and wanted to dial down her business to a smaller scale. Finally in 2007, Perfume of Singapore closed down the factories and shut down the business in 2008, and that was the last bit of their iconic presence.
